How do you tell your mother you’re a witch?
Coming out as a witch isn’t easy. You may feel misunderstood, rejected, even discriminated against by friends, family, and coworkers. If you haven’t come out, you may be leery of criticism from those who don’t really know what it means to be a witch. In this one-of-a-kind collection, you’ll meet fifty witches just like you who reveal what drew them to the craft and how they dealt with coming Out of the Broom Closet. (Amazon)
I found this book on the shelf at Chapters and thought, ‘now here’s an interesting twist on the typical Wiccan books out there’. Real life stories from real life witches and pagans. I am still curious as to what drew me to my path, so I was curious about what drew others to theirs. I was surprised the variety of stories out there, people from all walks of life, each choosing very different ways to go about their lives. And there was even a very sad story that made me feel that discovering your pagan path might not be all its cracked up to be. Most of the stories were engaging and interesting, some were a bit bland. I think there was a length limit given to the authors, and think that maybe fitting in 30-40 longer stories would have been better then 50 short blurbs. But all in all, an enjoyable read and recommended.
